Thai Yoga Techniques and Reiki

Thai yoga massage and bodywork focus on lines of energy called "sen"

Thai yoga techniques work in a similar way to regular yoga poses. As participants are held in a pose, blood slows to targeted areas. When the yogi/yogini releases the pose, fresh circulation rushes back into the area. Rhythmically and passively being coaxed into positions such as: spinal twist, cobra, tree,  fish and child's pose are particularly effective in refreshing circulation and balancing the endocrine system.

Thai techniques, and Reiki can be alternative approaches to mental health care. These practices can assist in the release of emotional or mental stress through the manipulation and attention of the physical, emotional, and energetic bodies.  Incorporating these techniques into yoga therapy sessions, as well as meditation, can help participants manage stress and let go of negative emotions. Richard Seven emphasizes that Thai massage is more than a physical science. The therapist works to carefully help the participant find the connection between exterior, or physical issues, and interior issues of the mind and heart.

Sessions range from $60-$80/hr depending on location and your needs.

Initial assessment is $75.
